Pacific Coastal is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and prouder still of the important contribution that women play in our organization. Whether it’s in the air, on the ground, at our head office, or at any one of our sixteen bases, you’ll find strong, intelligent women who work hard every day and in every way to make us better.
We join with them in supporting International Women’s Day on Friday, March 8th, and in doing so embrace this year’s International Women’s Day theme #BalanceforBetter, which intends to raise awareness against bias and to encourage all of us to take action for equality. Let’s all work toward finding balance in our society by ensuring that everyone is treated as equal.
March 8th, also marks the anniversary date of the world’s first pilot licence granted to a female pilot, Raymonde de Laroche in 1910. Raymonde was a true pioneer in women’s rights and remains an icon to women in aviation everywhere.
