Richmond, BC – Three BC based charities are going to get a significant boost this year with the help of Pacific Coastal Airlines 24th Annual Memorial Charity Golf Tournament. Presented by Canadian Western Bank (CWB), the event raised over $65,000.00 after expenses which will go to help the Source Club of Powell River, Native Education College (NEC) in Vancouver, and the Boys and Girls Club of Williams Lake.

The annual tournament, held at Mayfair Lakes Golf and Country Club in Richmond, B.C., included 153 golfers from across the province, 195 dinner guests, and a host of sponsors who came together to make this the airline’s most successful fund raising effort to date.

“We were extremely pleased with the turnout this year and amazed by the amount of sponsors who stepped up to make a difference for some important charities that work hard every day to improve the lives of people in their communities”, says Pacific Coastal’s Director of Business Development Kevin Boothroyd. “It truly is a labour of love”, he adds.

Pacific Coastal employees volunteer their time and energy to help make the golf tournament a success and this year was no exception.

“I am proud to say that this marks the eleventh year that we have partnered with Pacific Coastal in this annual charity and memorial golf tournament and that, together, we are making a positive difference”, says CWB’s Vice President & Branch Manager Brian Korpan. “We strongly believe in supporting the causes and initiatives that are important to our employees, our clients, and our communities. Giving back to the communities in which we operate is fundamental to our culture and how we operate.”

The three major sponsors of this year’s event were:

Canadian Western Bank – Presenting Sponsor
Pacific Southwest Instruments – Dinner Sponsor
Airmark Components – Lunch Sponsor
