Checking-in for your Pacific Coastal flight is quicker and more convenient than ever with the launch of our new self-serve, online check-in service. Effective Monday, May 6, Pacific Coastal customers have the option of bypassing the airport check-in counter lineups by checking in online with a computer anytime between 24 hours and up to 1 hour ahead of their scheduled departure time.

This new service lets you pre-pay for checked baggage and other items, like pet-in-cabin purchases for example, and those departing from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) South Terminal are now able to drop their checked bags at a dedicated checked baggage counter, located in that Terminal. If you plan on taking advantage of our bag drop service, we recommend that you drop your bags off 60 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Checked baggage acceptance closes 40 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

After completing the online check-in, you have the option of printing a boarding pass, or emailing an electronic version to your mobile device which will be scanned at the boarding gate when leaving a secured terminal.

At present, the new online check-in service is available on our website, but we are nearing completion of the mobile-friendly version and expect to release that to the public in the near future.

Our new self-serve online check-in service will also reduce overall lineups at the counter and speed up the check-in process, especially during peak summer season, and that is good news for everyone.

So, say goodbye to those lengthy check-in lineups, and say hello to our quick and convenient online check-in service – you’ll be glad you did!

New Check-in Times

As part of our new check-in procedures, we are also revising our check-in times. On Monday, May 6, all Pacific Coastal Airlines’ check-in counters will close 40 minutes ahead of scheduled departure times. Passengers who are not checked-in at that time may be denied boarding. In addition to this, all passengers will be required to be present at the boarding gate no later than 30 minutes ahead of their scheduled flight time. For this reason, we strongly advise all customers arrive at the airport at least 60 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time.

These new check-in and boarding gate times are important for our on time performance, and to ensure that we meet our commitment to get you to your scheduled destination on time.

If you have any questions about the new cut-off times for check-in and boarding, click on this link, or contact us by phone at 1.800.663.2872.

We hope you enjoy our new quick and convenient online check-in service and hope to see you on one of our flights soon.
