When Codi tried surfing for the first time, her family joined her in the water but her wheelchair didn’t.
Supported by  Vancouver International Airport and Pacific Surf CompanyPower To Be partnered with Spinal Cord Injury BC to offer an adaptive surf program in Tofino and we were honoured to be part of it.

Codi is a Power To Be participant, one of more than 1,400 people living with a barrier or disability we serve thanks to community support. In addition to surfing trips, year-round programs in Victoria and Vancouver include activities such as hiking, camping, canoeing and kayaking. The activities offered, and landscapes explored are as diverse as the participants we serve. What remains consistent is a focus on individual ability, community inclusion and access to nature for as long as an individual or family needs.
