1. Book Early
If you haven’t booked your holiday trip yet, now is the time to start planning. The holiday season is one of the most popular times to travel, with flights, accommodations, rental vehicles, and airport parking often filling up well in advance. Booking early can help you secure the best options and enjoy a smoother travel experience.
To help connect more people with their loved ones this season, Pacific Coastal Airlines is adding additional flight options from December 18, 2026, to January 3, 2027, giving travellers even more opportunities to reach the destinations that matter most.

2. Pack Smart
Packing can be one of the most hectic parts of travel, so it’s a good idea to review your Baggage Allowances before your trip. We recommend keeping all essential items in your carry-on, including travel documents such as your passport, IDs, wallet, and any valuables, so they remain easily accessible throughout your journey.
Remember that all carry-on liquids must be placed in a clear, resealable bag, with each container holding no more than 100 mL (3.4 oz). Be sure to review Power Bank Restrictions before you travel to avoid delays or having prohibited items confiscated at security.
If you are checking baggage, we recommend arriving at our check-in counter and dropping off your bags at least 60 minutes prior to departure to ensure a smooth travel experience.
3. Leave Gifts Unwrapped
Wrapped gifts may be inspected by security personnel, which can result in them being opened and may add extra time to the screening process. To avoid having your hard work undone, we recommend leaving gifts unwrapped until you reach your destination. Once you arrive, you can wrap them right away! Alternatively, gift bags are a convenient and travel-friendly option that allow items to be inspected without damaging the presentation.
4. Check Flight Details
Inclement winter weather and other travel disruptions are common during the holiday season, so it’s important to stay informed about your flight. We encourage you to regularly check your Flight Status details and monitor any Travel Advisories through our website. For added convenience, download the Pacific Coastal Airlines app to receive notifications about schedule changes and important travel updates.
If your plans change and you are no longer able to travel, you may submit a Flight Cancellation Request Form at least two hours prior to your scheduled departure. Before submitting your request, please review the applicable Fare Terms & Conditions to understand your options and any associated restrictions.
5. Arrive Early
Getting to the airport can be more challenging during the holiday season due to increased traffic and higher passenger volumes. Be sure to allow extra time for your journey, whether you’re driving, taking a taxi, or using public transit. Arriving early can help reduce stress, give you more time to complete check-in and security procedures, and ensure a smoother, more relaxed start to your holiday travels!
6. Travel With Patience
Holiday travel can be stressful for passengers, airport staff, aircrew, and everyone involved in the travel experience. As you navigate busy terminals, possible weather-related delays, and other seasonal travel challenges, remember that patience and kindness can go a long way. A positive attitude not only helps reduce your own stress but also makes the journey more pleasant for fellow travellers and the dedicated employees and crew members working hard to get everyone safely to their destinations. Approaching your trip with flexibility, understanding, and a little extra patience can make all the difference during the holiday travel season!
As you embark on your holiday travels, we wish you a memorable season filled with joy and time well spent with your loved ones. Thank you for choosing Pacific Coastal Airlines to be part of your journey. Happy Holidays!
