Pacific Coastal Airlines Announces Expanded Winter 2024/2025 and Christmas Schedule

Richmond, BC – Pacific Coastal Airlines is excited to announce a series of service expansions for its Winter 2024/2025 schedule, designed to offer increased convenience and flexibility for travellers across British Columbia. This schedule will be in effect from October 27, 2024, through April 26, 2025, with additional flights during the peak Christmas travel period.
“This winter we are pleased to offer passengers enhanced travel options through the introduction of new routes, additional flights and more seats to choose from operating on our larger Saab 340B aircraft,” said Johnathan Richardson, VP, Customer & Commercial. “Pacific Coastal Airlines will offer 8,655 seats across 359 weekly flights to 18 communities throughout British Columbia during our winter schedule.”
Winter Schedule (October 27, 2024 – April 26, 2025)
Several key improvements will take effect in the upcoming winter schedule:
- Increased Vancouver – Comox Flights: Travellers between Vancouver (YVR) and Comox (YQQ) will benefit from two daily flights from Sunday to Friday, with one flight on Saturdays, providing more options for both business and leisure travellers.
- New Vancouver – Port Hardy Saturday Morning Flight: A new Saturday morning flight between Vancouver (YVR) and Port Hardy (YZT) will enhance weekend travel opportunities to northern Vancouver Island.
- New Kelowna – Prince George Route: Starting October 28, a new route will connect Kelowna (YLW) and Prince George (YXS), further expanding regional connectivity for travellers in the interior and northern BC.
- Increased Capacity with Saab 340B Aircraft (34 seats): Increased capacity will be introduced across several key routes through the use of Saab 340B aircraft:
- Kelowna (YLW) – Victoria (YYJ): morning and afternoon flight will operate on Saab aircraft Sunday to Friday
- Prince George (YXS) – Victoria (YYJ): will operate on Saab aircraft Sunday to Friday
- Vancouver (YVR) – Trail (YZZ): morning and afternoon flight will operate on Saab aircraft Sunday to Friday, Saturday flight will also operate on Saab aircraft
- Vancouver (YVR) – Penticton (YYF): morning and afternoon flight will operate on Saab aircraft Sunday to Friday, Saturday flight will also operate on Saab aircraft
- Vancouver (YVR) – Williams Lake (YWL): afternoon flight will operate on Saab aircraft Sunday to Friday
- Victoria (YYJ) – Vancouver (YVR): morning and afternoon flight will operate on Saab aircraft daily, offering more seats to connect elsewhere in our network
Christmas Schedule (December 20, 2024 – January 4, 2025)
To meet increased demand during the holiday season, a special Christmas schedule will be introduced, offering expanded capacity on several popular routes. Additional flights will be added to provide more options for travellers during the busy festive period.
- Victoria (YYJ) to/from Kamloops (YKA): Morning flight (8P1141, 8P1142) added on:
- December 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 2024
- January 1, 2, 2025
- Victoria (YYJ) to/from Kelowna (YLW): Mid-day flight (8P1535, 8P1536) added on:
- December 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 2024
- January 1, 2, 2025
- Vancouver (YVR) to/from Masset (ZMT): Flight (8P971, 8P972) added on:
- December 23, 2024
- Vancouver (YVR) to/from Tofino (YAZ): Flight (8P1607, 8P1608) added on:
- December 26, 2024
Additionally, on Saturday, December 21 & 28, increased capacity will be available in the following markets through aircraft gauge increases or extra flights:
- Vancouver (YVR) to/from Victoria (YYJ)
- Vancouver (YVR) to/from Trail (YZZ)
- Vancouver (YVR) to/from Williams Lake (YWL)
- Vancouver (YVR) to/from Comox (YQQ)
- Vancouver (YVR) to/from Penticton (YYF)
- Victoria (YYJ) to/from Prince George (YXS)
- Nanaimo (YCD) to/from Kelowna (YLW)
- Comox (YQQ) to/from Kelowna (YLW)
- Prince George (YXS) to/from Kelowna (YLW)
