Pacific Coastal Airlines will be discontinuing sales of our “Guaranteed Baggage Space” product as of Wednesday, May 12. This product offered the ability for customers to confirm up to 200 lbs of baggage with no restriction on the number of pieces (with no single piece exceeding 70 lbs) and have the items accepted and processed at our airport check-in counters.

The reason why we are discontinuing this product is due to new expectations of transporting customers checked baggage as defined in the Air Passenger Protection Regulations (APPR) and logistical issues since we adapted “piece concept” for processing passengers checked baggage on average weights.

We continue to offer our Guaranteed Cargo product for customers to still have the ability to transport high priority goods on a specific flight. Our Guaranteed Cargo product offers confirmed space on an available flight for up to 200 pounds of dimensional cargo. Transporting Guaranteed Cargo with Pacific Coastal Airlines is accepted through our cargo facilities and must be dropped off for processing 90 minutes prior to a flights scheduled departure time. Q: How many checked bags are included in my ticket and is there a fee for my checked baggage?
A: Customers may check-in a total of 3 checked bags when travelling with Pacific Coastal Airlines. A checked bag is one item, weighing up to a maximum of 50 pounds (23 kilograms) with maximum linear dimension of 62 inches (158 cm). Q: I have a QuikPass account, can I use it towards payment for Guaranteed Cargo product?
A: Yes. Customers who have a QuikPass account can use their QP funds to pay for Guaranteed Cargo. For assistance with this, please contact our cargo department directly at 1-855-615-1381.

Q: Is Guaranteed Cargo offered to all destinations serviced by Pacific Coastal Airlines?
A: Guaranteed Cargo is offered to all destinations excluding flights to/from Victoria International Airport (YYJ) or Kelowna International Airport (YLW).
