British Columbia Wildfires

Due to the evolving wildfire situation in British Columbia, we have adjusted our fare policies to allow affected customers the ability to change or cancel their reservations without penalty.

Customers who are scheduled to travel to, from, or via the following destinations between now and August 7, 2021, can modify their reservation without penalty:

  • Prince George (YXS)
  • Williams Lake (YWL)
  • Kelowna (YLW)
  • Bella Coola (QBC)
  • Kamloops (YKA)
  • Penticton (YYF)
  • Cranbrook (YXC)

Change fees will not be applied and customer’s original fare will be honoured if they choose to rebook for a different date. Customers who wish to cancel their reservation will be provided with a full credit that is valid for one year from the date of the original purchase. At this time we are only providing refunds to the original form of payment for Encore Fares as per our fare terms and conditions.

Changes or cancellations to reservations must be made at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. To make a change or cancellation please contact our call centre at reserve@pacificcoastal.com or 1-800-663-2872 for assistance.

If you purchased your flight with a travel agent or online travel agency, please contact them directly for assistance. Travel Agents can input the waiver code 8PWILDFIRE into the endorsement box in the GDS to apply this policy to customer reservations.

Call Centre - High Call Volume

Our Call Centre is experiencing a high amount of call volume. To make a new reservation please book online.  

Need to cancel your flight? If you booked directly with Pacific Coastal Airlines and are unable to cancel your flight online or contact us through our Call Centre, we welcome customers to complete this form to submit a flight cancellation request. 

If you originally created your reservation online and need to modify it or view it, you can access your reservation in Manage My Reservation.

Impacted Pacific Coastal Airline Flights RE: COVID-19

Our top priority remains to protect the safety of our customers and staff. This section will be updated regularly with information regarding Pacific Coastal Airlines flights that were impacted by COVID-19.

All customers and staff who were on the listed flights are advised to self-monitor for signs of cough, fever, or respiratory issues and to call their local health authorities if symptoms arise within the next 14 days:

  • no impacted flights.

Face Covering Requirements for Air Travellers RE: COVID-19

The Government of Canada is asking that all travellers have a removable non-medical mask or face covering large enough to cover their mouth and nose during their travel through Canadian airports and in-flight. Travellers must confirm that they have in their possession the mandatory non-medical mask or face covering as part of the registration or check-in process otherwise they will not be allowed to continue on their journey. At a minimum, travellers will be asked to wear the non-medical mask or face covering:

  • at airport screening checkpoints;
  • during the flight when they cannot physically distance from others, including at all times when they are 2 metres or less from another person, except another occupant of the person’s private home; or
  • as directed by an official of the air operator, the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, a Canada Border Services Agency officer, or a Canadian public health official.

Health Check Questions RE: COVID-19

In order to manage the spread of COVID-19, the Government of Canada, along with the provinces and territories have put in place some new measures.

Prior to boarding a Pacific Coastal Airlines flight (scheduled or charter flight) you will be required to undergo a health check. This will involve answering a few simple questions to which you must answer truthfully. For further information click here.

When arriving at your destination, you may be subject to further measures taken by the provincial or territorial government to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

As a reminder, no person should board a flight when they are feeling ill and could potentially put others at risk. Should symptoms such as a fever, cough or difficulty breathing develop while in flight, please notify the flight crew immediately.

Flexible change and cancellation policy for bookings made between May 3, 2020 and September 30, 2021

We have implemented a flexible booking policy that allows customers to make changes to their existing reservations and provide confidence for new reservations provided they meet the following requirements:

Change/Cancellation Fees

Change/cancellation fees for customers with reservations booked between May 3, 2020 and September 30, 2021 for travel anytime are being waived. Changes or cancellations to a reservation must be made at least 48 hours before scheduled departure time. Standard fare terms and conditions apply within 48 hours of scheduled denture time.

For changes, customers may rebook their reservation for travel that is completed within 12 months from the date of original purchase without penalty (fare, tax and surcharge differences may apply when rebooking). For cancellations, customers flight value will be held as a travel credit that can be applied towards a future flight (travel credit is name transferable and can be used to travel to any destination within Pacific Coastal Airlines network). Travel credit will be available for travel completed within 12 months from the date of original purchase.

Refunds

We are only processing refunds to the original form of payment for our refundable Encore Fares as per our fare terms and conditions. Bravo Fares and Classic Fares are not eligible for refunds and only a future travel credit will be offered for cancellations. For customers who wish to have the option to cancel a flight and be refunded we suggest booking a refundable Encore Fare. Cancellations for QuikPass Bravo, QuikPass Classic and QuikPass Encore fares will be refunded back to the QuikPass account.

Changes or cancellations to a reservation must be made at least 72 hours prior to scheduled departure time. Standard fare terms and conditions will apply to changes made within 72 hours of scheduled departure time.

For changes, customers may rebook their reservation for travel that is completed within 24 months from the date of original purchase without penalty (applicable fare difference may apply). For cancellations, customers flight value will be held as a travel credit that can be applied towards a future flight with Pacific Coastal Airlines (credit is name transferable and can be used to travel to any destination within our network). Travel credit will be available for travel completed within 24 months from the date of original purchase. We are only processing refunds to the original form of payment for our refundable Encore Fares as per our fare terms and conditions. Bravo Fares and Classic Fares are not eligible for refunds and only a future travel credit will be offered for cancellations.

Haida Gwaii State of Emergency Lifted

On June 2, 2021, Gaagwiis, President of the Haida Nation announced that Haida Gwaii hopes to welcome visitors from across Canada as of July 1st, in alignment with the Phase 3 requirements of the BC Restart Plan.

We strongly encourage visitors to arrive vaccinated and to consult the CHN website for announcements and updates.
