Travellers and drivers should expect delays getting to and from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) today due to an overnight incident with the Arthur Laing Bridge.

Currently one southbound lane of the bridge is closed and while both northbound lanes are open, delays are possible in that direction as well.

Ongoing Advisories

Our mobility lift in Bella Coola (QBC) is currently out of service. Until further notice, all passengers who cannot independently manage the stairs cannot travel on flight to/from Bella Coola (QBC).

For assistance with flight bookings to/from Bella Coola (QBC), please contact our call center at 1-800-663-2872.  

We are advising all passengers travelling through Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) to allow extra time for security screening.

Pacific Coastal Airlines recommends passengers to check-in at least 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time with appropriate valid government-issued identification. Check-in and checked baggage acceptance closes 40 minutes prior to scheduled departure time and passengers should be present at boarding gate 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

In light of the increasing risk posed by fraudulent travel websites and online booking agents, Pacific Coastal Airlines advises all travellers to take the following precautions before booking flights:

Watch Out For:

  • Websites offering unrealistically low fares
  • Platforms that lack secure payment gateways (look for HTTPS)
  • Booking agents with no verifiable contact information or customer support
  • Spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in website content

The Government of Canada has recently announced several consumer product recalls on popular power banks due to the risk of fire. As a result, these devices are not permitted on board Pacific Coastal Airlines flights.
