Richmond, BC – Twice-daily weekday flights between Victoria and Prince George will start January 18, as Pacific Coastal Airlines expands its non-stop service between the province’s capital and unofficial northern capital. The new flights will make it easier for both business and leisure travelers to travel between the two cities.

“Victoria has been a great route for us”, says Pacific Coastal’s northern Business Development Manager, Susan Clarke. “We offer the only non-stop service, and travelers really appreciate our passenger-friendly policies and 50-pound free baggage allowance. Expanding to two flights on weekdays will help us better meet the needs of both the Victoria and Prince George market.”

Beginning January 18, 2016, Pacific Coastal’s non-stop flights from Victoria to Prince George will depart at 10:25am and 4:30pm on weekdays, and Sundays at 1:25pm. From Prince George, flights will depart at 12:30pm and 6:35pm weekdays and 3:30pm Sundays. The flights are available for booking on, by phoning 1.800.663.2872, or through travel agents.

President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority John Gibson says, “We are pleased to see Pacific Coastal expanding their services to YXS. This additional flight makes accessing the island even more convenient. The only way to get increased service and destinations is to use what we currently have and this is an excellent example of what community support can do.”

Pacific Coastal began flying non-stop between Prince George and Victoria on January 12, 2015 and this expansion of services comes one year into their Prince George operations. The flying time between the two cities is just 100 minutes in Pacific Coastal Airlines’ Saab 340A and Saab 340B aircraft.
