Today Pacific Coastal Airlines and Harbour Air announced an agreement under which Harbour Air will acquire Pacific Coastal Airlines, forming a new regional airline group under Canadian ownership.  

This group will combine Pacific Coastal Airline’s wheeled flight network with Harbour Air’s complementary seaplane network to unlock more destinations for its guests. The combined group will offer flight service to 25 communities across British Columbia, with a combined fleet of 59 aircraft and more than 900 employees.

Rest assured, your bookings are unaffected and your flights are operating as scheduled. Pacific Coastal Airlines will keep flying as Pacific Coastal Airlines. We keep our own name, our own air operator certificate, and our own operating team. Harbour Air keeps theirs. Two airlines, one Canadian-owned group behind them.

Completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval. Until it closes, Pacific Coastal Airlines and Harbour Air continue to operate as two separate and independent airlines, and there is no change to our operations, our service, or your points of contact.

We chose this partner deliberately. Harbour Air has been flying British Columbia for as long as we have, serving the same kinds of communities, with the same commitment to safety and service. This keeps Pacific Coastal in Canadian hands, and it puts investment behind the network our communities rely on.
