Additional Safety Measures

Enhanced Aircraft Sanitation Practices

  • Every night our aircraft go through a rigorous sanitation process where all main points of customer contact are wiped down with high-grade sanitizer
  • At each airport station, between flights, our staff will complete a sanitation wipe of armrests and seat belts
  • We will continue to suspend offering our in-flight magazine SOAR to reduce unnecessary contact
  • Upon boarding, customers will be provided with a personal sanitizer wipe that they may use on any surface within the aircraft

Physical Distancing

  • We will be limiting the sale of seats on our Beechcraft 1900 airplanes to 18 seats to allow passengers to have their own independent seat (middle bench seat in the rear of the airplane will be blocked)
  • We continue to work with our airport partners to help customers and staff be able to physical distance when utilizing the airport facilities, including pre-board security screening areas
  • Visual markers and other items are being installed in airport terminals (where possible) to encourage people to physically distance themselves from others
  • We ask customers to not bring family or friends into the airport who are not travelling (best to greet/say goodbye outside of the airport terminal building)

Reducing Contact

  • To help reduce contact between customers and staff, we encourage customers to check-in online to obtain an electronic boarding pass
  • We ask customers to pre-pay online for any service items that they wish to purchase prior to arriving at the airport
  • We have increased our contactless tap payment option on our credit card machines to be $250, debit remains at $100 for contactless tap payment
  • We ask customers to pay by credit card or debit card whenever possible rather than cash
  • Additional hand-sanitizer stations are being installed at our airport check-in counters
  • We are working with airport partners to ensure all common areas of the airport are equipped with hand-sanitizer stations

What we’re asking of our customers

  • As per Transport Canada, customers must travel with a removable non-medical mask or face covering during their travel through Canadian airports (learn more by clicking here)
  • As per Transport Canada, customers will be required to undergo a health check by answering questions relating to COVID-19 symptoms (learn more by clicking here)
  • Carry a personal size hand-sanitizer (100 ml or less) that can be used throughout your journey with us

Keeping our team safe

  • We’re providing our staff, both in operational departments and administrative departments, with access to personal protective equipment
  • All operational staff will have their temperature checked upon arrival at the workplace
  • Our flight crew conduct a thorough sanitation of the flight deck before every flight and will wear face masks when interacting with customers during boarding and deplaning
  • Staff in non-operational roles are still being asked to work from their homes to help practice physical distancing and we are supporting them with technology and resources to stay connected
