Richmond BC – Pacific Coastal Airlines is advising customers and the general public to be aware of potential fraudulent activity in which a caller may attempt to gain credit card or other important personal information by phone while pretending to be an employee or a telemarketer working for Pacific Coastal Airlines.

In this scam the caller may advise the customer that they have won a free flight credit with Pacific Coastal Airlines, and ask for credit card information.

Be advised that Pacific Coastal Airlines does not use telemarketers and that our Customer Service Agents do not phone customers or the public to offer flight credits or ask for credit card information, except when processing flight bookings at the request of its clients.

If you receive a telephone call claiming that you have won a flight credit with Pacific Coastal Airlines please hang up and contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre or by toll free phone at 1.888.495.8501, or your local RCMP detachment.
