INFORMATION > Fares > Infants

Infants, defined per the industry standard of age under two years, may (1) travel for free if held
securely on an adult's lap, or (2) have a seat on the plane if purchased (and infant seated
in a secure manner).

Though we do not offer a baggage allowance for infants traveling for free, passengers may check one car seat and one stroller at no additional charge.  See our Car Seats & Strollers section.

In order to comply with Transport Canada safety regulation, the adult to infant ratio must be 1:1.

Adults travelling with infants can take formula, breast milk, juice, and baby food
through preboard screening

At check-in we will ask for ID for infants who have not yet reached the age of two and are travelling
for free. Birth certificates, passports, care cards, and status cards are examples of acceptable forms
of ID. Photocopies are accepted. If ID is not present at check-in and an infant's age called into question
we will charge for a seat, but will gladly refund that seat in full if ID is produced after the fact.
