Pacific Coastal Airlines operates from the South Terminal of the Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Guests should check in 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time with appropriate government issued identification. Please click on the following links for additional information.
Failure to check-in at least 20 minutes before departure time may result in cancellation of your entire reservation.
No-show policy: failure to cancel a reservation in advance of check-in and not showing up for your flight will result in forfeiture of payment for that segment (no credit given) and subsequent flights will be cancelled.
Flights may not be put “on hold” to wait for late-arriving passengers as departure and arrival times are carefully managed by airports, and check-in passengers would like to leave on time.
Identity Screening Regulations
As per Transport Canada, Identity Screening Regulations require all passengers who appear 18 years of age or older to present the following ID at check-in and before boarding:
- one piece of valid government-issued PHOTO ID that shows name, date of birth, and gender, or
- two pieces of valid government-issued ID (without a photo) one of which shows date of birth, and gender.
- the name on the identification must match the name on the boarding pass.
At check-in we will ask for ID for infants who have not yet reached the age of two and are travelling for free. Birth certificates, passports, care cards, and status cards are examples of acceptable forms of ID. Photocopies are accepted. If ID is not present at check-in and an infant’s age called into question we will charge for a seat, but will gladly refund that seat in full if ID is produced after the fact.
Minimum Connecting Time
We advise our passengers to allow themselves a minimum of 1.5 hours domestic to domestic & 2 hours domestic to international/USA v.v. as minimum connecting times when changing between YVR Main Terminal & YVR South Terminal. It is also recommended to check with your connecting airline.
In Vancouver, departures and arrivals with Pacific Coastal Airlines are hosted at the South Terminal.
Pacific Coastal Airlines is not responsible for missed connections.
Transport Canada requires all Pacific Coastal Airlines passengers to pass through preboard screening when travelling between the Vancouver South Terminal and the following airports: Victoria, Cranbrook, Comox, Campbell River and Williams Lake.
