Pacific Coastal Airlines | Instagram Canada 150 Photo Contest

Official Rules of the Pacific Coastal Airlines (“PCA”) Instagram Canada 150 Photo Contest (the “Contest”) 2017.

  1. PCA is the Sponsor and Administrator of this contest.
  2. The contest begins on 12:00 p.m on June 23rd and closes on July 1st at 11:59 p.m. (the “Contest Period”). All times are PST.
  3. No purchase necessary. Open to British Columbia residents only who have reached the age of majority on January 1st, 2017. To enter, post a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #flypca and note where it was taken (ex: Rossland, BC) during the Contest Period. Only one entry per person is accepted.
  4. Prizing. One (1) round-trip for two anywhere in Pacific Coastal’s scheduled service network in British Columbia. The travellers must travel together on the same dates and flights and travel may not be broken into multiple one-ways. The prize has no cash value and may not be exchanged for other goods or services with Pacific Coastal or any third party. This prize must be consumed in full by July 30th, 2018. No extension is allowed. As it is unknown where the winner will fly from or to, the value of the prize is estimated to be up to $2500.00 (between the farthest two points and valued at full fare as full-fare benefits are given in the prize).

Third-party taxes and fees, as directly related to flight transportation, are included.

Wheeled bases (i.e. served by a wheeled aircraft with scheduled service) are as follows:  Anahim Lake, Bella Bella, Bella Coola, Campbell River, Comox, Cranbrook, Kelowna, Masset, Port Hardy, Powell River, Prince George, Trail, Vancouver, Victoria, and Williams Lake. Connections may be required and overnights are at the winner’s own expense.

Prizes contain transportation as described. Any other costs associated with the use of any prize not referred to above are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.

  1. Draw. On Monday, July 3rd, at approximately 3:00 p.m. PST (the “Draw Date”) the Sponsor, using a three-person panel, will select the potential winner from among all eligible entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received by the end of the Contest Period.
  2. Prize Award. The selected entrant will be notified by mail and/or email and/or phone within two days of the Draw Date.  If a selected entrant (a) cannot be reached by mail and/or telephone and/or email within two days of the Draw Date; (b) fails to correctly answer the skill testing question; or (c) fails to return the properly executed Contest Winner’s Agreement within the specified time (see rule 8), then he/she will be disqualified and another entrant will be selected until such time as contact is made mail and/or telephone and/or email with a selected entrant or there are no more eligible entries, or December 31st, 2017, whichever comes first.  The Sponsor will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact a selected entrant.  Prior to being declared a winner, selected entrants must answer a skill-testing mathematical question without assistance of any kind in addition to signing the Contest Winner’s Agreement to confirm compliance with all terms and conditions.

The Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be exchanged, substituted, or surrendered for cash except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor and Prize Partner who reserve the right, in absolute and sole discretion and for any reason, to award substitute prize of equal or greater value, including a cash award.  Prizes have no cash value and are not refundable.

The prize must be used prior to July 31st, 2018 and no extension will be granted under any circumstances. An unused prize is forfeited without compensation. A reservation must be made at least one week in advance and is subject to availability at the time of booking. A reservation may NOT be changed once booked.

A prize winner is allowed to gift his or her prize to a family member, and only a family member, ONCE only, on the condition that the recipient agrees to the terms and conditions in a manner satisfactory to the Sponsor.  Once processed, under no circumstances may the recipient gift the prize back or transfer it to another person.

  1. Eligibility. Contest is open to residents of British Columbia who have reached the age of majority on January 1st, 2017. Employees, representatives, agents, of the Sponsor and Prize Partners, including, where applicable, affiliates including, but limited to, advertising agencies, suppliers, or companies involved with the development and management of this Contest, and immediate family members, and those cohabitating with any and all of the above are not eligible to enter.
  2. Additional conditions of participation. By participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees to all terms and conditions involved and all decisions made by Contest judges, which shall be legally binding on all entrants and final in any and all matters related to this contest. All entries become the property of PCA and will not be returned. Before being declared a winner, a selected entrant must sign the Contest Winner’s Agreement which (a) confirms eligibility and compliance with Contest terms and conditions, and (b) releases Sponsor and Prize Partner, and all related affiliates, agents, officers, and employees from any and all liability in the entrant’s participation in the contest and awarding and use of a prize, and (c) acknowledges the winner’s agreement to the use of his/her name, comments, photograph, and other likeness for publicity purposes, and grants to the Sponsor any and all rights to said use in any medium without notification and compensation other than the prize. Each winner’s travelling companion will also be required to sign a Travel Companion Agreement relating to all matters covered by notes (b) and (c) above, and also be of the age of majority. The Sponsor and is not responsible for printing, distribution, or production errors. The Contest Sponsor and its affiliates may, at its sole discretion and without liability, rescind or amend this Contest at any time or not award prizes for any reason.  This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws. Any violation of these terms and conditions outlined in this document will result in the prize becoming null and void without compensation.
  3. By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by all contest rules and the decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of the Contest, which are final.
  4. Limitation of liability. By entering this Contest, the winner acknowledges and agrees that the Sponsor and Prize Partner, their respective affiliates, agencies and their respective employees and agents (collectively, the “Contest Group”): (i) shall have no liability of any kind whatsoever with respect to this Contest and/or the awarding or use of any prize, (ii) make no warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind concerning any prize, (iii) disclaim any implied warranty, and (iv) are not liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from the entrant’s acceptance or use of the prize or otherwise from such entrant’s or their guest’s participation in this Contest or prize. The Contest Group is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising, these official rules, the selection and announcement of winners, or the distribution of prizes.
  5. The Contest Group will not be liable for any failure of the Contest Website and will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, misdirected, incomplete or destroyed entries. The Contest Group is not be responsible for any event that may cause the Contest to cease either temporarily or permanently, including but not limited to any electronic network, computer problem or any other technical or human error of any kind that makes continuation of the Contest not feasible.  The Contest Group are not responsible for any technical malfunctions of telephone networks or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or access providers, computer equipment, software, viruses, bugs, or failure of any entry to be received for any reason including but not limited to traffic congestion on the internet.  Entries that have been tampered with or altered are void.  In the event it is determined that an entrant has entered in a fashion not sanctioned by these rules and/or has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these rules, the entrant will be disqualified and all of the entries submitted by the entrant will be disqualified.  In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry.  “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.  The selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry.  The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
  6. All entries become the permanent property of the Sponsor and none will be returned. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants.  This Contest is subject to all applicable federal provincial and municipal laws.
  7. Personal information. The Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Your personal information is only collected, used or disclosed by the Sponsor to administer the Contest in accordance with the rules, terms, and conditions of the Contest.
